HAZZAH!!! So I am on this no sugar diet and my roomate LIndsay came home from the temple today with a loaf of cinnamon burst great harvest bread. Of course I am in serious distress because I love cinnamon burst bread. The search began. I got online to try and find the igredients in before mentioned bread. After about an hour of searching I found out that Great Harvest subsitutes refined sugar for honey! Natural sugar! So I can eat it! And I did!Tuesday, June 30, 2009

"it don't matter if you're black or white"

Today Michael Jackson died. A huge blow to the music world. Soon after finding out, I refused to believe it. But it is in fact true, the man in the mirror is gone. I went on a tribute bike ride and listened to his whole "Bad" album. Tommorrw I will commemorate by wearing all black. All those who wish to join me are welcome.
Rest in Peace Mich-o

ate a slice of wonder bread and went back to bed

Howdy all. Well i'm sitting at work again. No fear...I am allowed to do this sort of thing while at work as long as nobody in the lab is working finale or audacity. Speaking of computer things I must make a plug for pandora.com. It has gotten me through many a dark day at work and long study sessions. For all of you that have not yet registered for pandora and experienced the genius that it is should get on that ...like now. Currently I am listening to the Regina Spektor station and occasionally I switch to the Third Eye Blind station as well.
Ok so this weekend there are only four out of the twelve at my house. It is weird. Due to this the four of us are going to gather together and build a fort, sleep in it, and watch dance flicks. In other news, I would have you know that I have registered to run in the dam marathon (thats straight up what we call it madre. Sorry if your ears are bleeding). Mind it is really the teton dam marathon and I am only running the 5k but still, that is pretty nifty. Ooohh I even get a swag bag. Comments on swag bags: 1) the word swag is ultimately cool. 2) swag ba
gs usually have free food samples...heh heh yeah. 3) included in my swag bag is a shirt that says "I ran the dam marathon" baaha we think we are funny in eastern Idaho.

Last night me and my roomate Rachel went to music in the park. An earwig crawled up my leg and I saw a really cute dog. Then we went and did a service project. An excellent service project. BYU-I is trying out a new program where a few wards sign up to plant flowers on campus. So we all met up and the school provided all these flowers and we planted them. We got signs to put in our beds that say something along the lines of BYU-I and the grounds people would like to thank the 18th ward (thats me!) for planting this here garden of luscious foliage. What was most awesome, was walking past those flowers today and saying "Hey, I did that!" Afterward Rachel and I went to pita pit. sooooo satisfying.
Well I just took some pictures of myself sitting at my computer at work. I think I will put them up now. Don't know why the lighting is so different in them. Oh well.

Flibbity Gibbits
It feels good to be updating this again. Lots of things happened all at once and writing posts got to be a low priority. but......I'm taking a family history class and our teacher highly recommended that we keep a regular blog/journal. Dear me I'm righteous. I'll start off this little ditty with a story for the books....or for Amy..and mom...and siblings who remember. Anyway during sunday school last sunday I raised my hand to read from the scriptures. Well, the teacher is regrettably trying to learn everybodies name in the class. He looks at me and says the classic line, "oh oh don;t tell me I'm going to get it," even though we all know he won't. Then he says "Lisa right?" There you go Amy. Obviously you were on to something back then. Hmmm what else.? Summer in Rexburg is quite the experience. Weather is bipolar as always. All last week we had 50+ mph winds. Every single last shingle got blown off our roof and all the dirt from the track in the staduim is now make shift pavement on the adjacent street. Crazy. However, yesterday it was 85 degrees and in celebration my FHE group went to snake river and jumped in. Needless to say it was cold. Then we sat on the dock and had a lesson while sipping back homemade rootbeer and munching on brauts..brawts...? Soooooo goood. I love me some meat. Speaking of which I have discussed with mom how excited I am to come home for the seven week break and BBQ. Dear gracious my life I want to barbeque. I want steak with herb butter and A1 with some feta and grape tomato salad. Ahhhh life is good in my brain. On the topic of food. I greatly dislike celery but I am determined to learn to like it. Tomorrow I'm going to go buy some and eat it until I like it. Will power is a beautiful thing. Truely.
Music: Lately the song "Two Princes" by the Spin Doctors has been stuuuuuck in my head. Can't shake it. I don't mind though.
Recipe: I've been into turkey wraps. here's what I do and it is super delish. Get a tortilla. Put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. When the tortilla is steamin' spread mustard on it. Then get some canned turkey warm it up in a can with seasoned salt. Put that turkey in the wrap. Cover the turkey with a fairly good amount of spinach leaves. Fold in any manner that you so desire. Then you stuff. Party for the buds.

I can breathe!
SCHOOL IS OVER! For a week at least, then I go back to start it all over again. Juries went well and I'm pretty sure I passed all my classes. Even ear training. Now I'm one semester away from being done with it forever...until grad school. Today grandma woke me up early so I could catch the early bird sales at Kohls and JC Penny's. All I wanted to do was sleep in, but I know she meant well. I bought a new dress at Kohl's and my wedding shoes at some store in the mall. They're pretty nice. Hmmm what else. OH! We're having a big family dinner tomorrow at Grandma Spencer's house and Grandma is in charge of making deviled eggs. No specific number of eggs was ever requested, so Grandma made 4 dozen. Which actually means she made 8 dozen, one they are cut in half. Moving on. We had to peel all 4 dozen today and we threw all the shells down the sink and it got clogged. Beyond clogged. So clogged she made me plunge the sink for 20 minutes. hahahaha then she said your doing a bad job so she took over. Let me tell ya it is funny thing to see your grandma plunging the sink.
Jumping backwards. I moved into my new house on Friday and left my poor fish there. Everybody pray for my dear Wallace that he doesn't die without food for a week.
I've been watching sappy movies on TV all day. What a way to spend vacation. Singing off.

Finals Week . . .
Starts monday. Oh my heck. And I can't sing. That is a biggggg problem. I had a lesson with Kris Ciezinski on Friday and she tore me apart. I basically have to relearn all my music. Plus we had white glove today. It is still snowing in Rexburg. I decided to stay in Rexburg for the summer and take classes. Problem is the semester starts in two weeks and I have no place to live. In the meantime I have to make sure to get registered for all my new classes and pass my juries and all other finals. And find a dress and shoes for amy's wedding because I got all chunky mcgee from stress and now I don't fit into my bridesmaid dress from Jeff's wedding. GGGGggggayyyyyy. Al I do is complain complain complain. Anddd my nice winter peacoat is covered in dog hair. And I want cannnndy. Badly. Ok bye
